Pegasus ponies

Pegasus ponies are a type of pony featured in the show who live in Equestria, and are characterized by their wings, and their ability to fly and manipulate clouds.
Distinguishing features
Pegasus ponies all possess wings, and demonstrate great speed both in the air and on foot. For example, when competing for the title of Iron Pony, Rainbow Dash was equally matched with her friend Applejack the earth pony throughout their race in Fall Weather Friends. Many other pegasus ponies participated in the Running of the Leaves, though the fact that the ones exhausted by the effort were all pegasus ponies may indicate a lower endurance.
Pegasus ponies are seen manipulating the weather in several episodes, moving clouds to either cause a storm or clear the skies. As seen in Sonic Rainboom they also create snowflakes and rainbows in special factories.

Another trait, demonstrated by The Wonderbolts and Rainbow Dash, is leaving a colorful trail in the sky in their flight path, along with creating explosions and other special effects. This is prominently seen in Sonic Rainboom and in Dash's fantasy in The Ticket Master, and briefly in Boast Busters.

Pegasus ponies have a unique ability among ponies to naturally walk on clouds, as revealed when Dash's friends wish to cheer her in the Best Young Flyers competition. Gilda, a griffon, is also seen walking on clouds, so this trait is not limited to pegasus ponies alone.

Appearances
Pegasus ponies are mostly seen in Ponyville and Cloudsdale, and appear to be completely absent in the brief showing of Manehattan. Canterlot is almost devoid of pegasus ponies, with the exception of Celestia’s royal guards and, to a degree, Celestia herself. The guards can be seen carrying her in a flying chariot in Swarm of the Century. Another pair of royal-guard pegasus ponies carry Twilight in a similar chariot in the first episode

Hello! this blog is now for a new-ish show on the hub called My little pony friendship is magic, a show about the core, i can't explain it here is something form wikipedia:

The series stars a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle, who is a pupil of Equestria's ruler Princess Celestia. Seeing the young pony buried in books, the princess sends her to Ponyville and gives her the task of making friends. Along with her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike, she becomes friends with the tomboyish Rainbow Dash, glamorous Rarity, hard-working Applejack, timid Fluttershy, and hyperactive Pinkie Pie. Together they explore the ins and outs of the town and solve various problems. Each episode usually ends with Twilight Sparkle reporting back to Celestia on some aspect of friendship that she has discovered in the process, either through her own experience or by watching the other ponies.

The six main characters are written as young adults with a maturity level in the 12-18 year old range,[5] but several episodes focus on the exploits of a much younger trio of pony characters called the "Cutie Mark Crusaders" who are trying to discover what their special talents may be (and thus gain the corresponding "cutie marks" on their flanks).
